Publish Content
Publish your first post
Create a private post Draft, add the essentials, publish it, verify the public result, and recover safely.
Outcome
You will create a post as a private Draft, prepare its public details, publish it, and confirm what readers see. The example uses fictional studio content.
Before you start
| Check | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Access | Admin or Superadmin |
| Content | A title, short article, and optional image |
| Safety | Use fictional names and review every public field |
Open Publishing → Posts, then choose New Post.
Name the post
- Enter the internal and listing title in Post title.
- Review the generated URL Slug. Change it before publication if needed.
- Keep the large first content block as the single public Heading 1, then add Heading 2 sections beneath it.

Write and enrich the body
Use the shared BlockNote toolbar for headings, paragraphs, lists, links, media, and tables. Keep steps short and make link text describe its destination.
Complete Post settings
- Set a Post Date only when readers need a specific displayed date.
- Add a Featured Image for post cards.
- Write an Excerpt of no more than 160 characters.
- Enable Featured Post only when the site layout has a featured area.
Assign organization
Expand Organization. Select a Post Author and one or more Categories when those records exist. Do not invent a personal byline.
Check search metadata
Open the SEO tab. Add a focus keyphrase, SEO title, and meta description, then choose Save SEO. Treat the preview as a guide and verify the final page source after publication.
Publish and verify
- Wait for Saved.
- Choose Publish.
- Open View Live Post.
- Check the post, Blog listing, category archive, desktop width, and narrow width.

Expected result
The article URL returns the post, the Blog listing uses the Post title, Featured Image, Excerpt, and byline, and assigned category archives include it.
Undo or recover
Open More publish actions → Unpublish. The direct URL should return Page Not Found, and the post should disappear from Blog and category listings while remaining editable as a Draft.
If the post is not visible
- Confirm the editor status is Published.
- Use the displayed View Live Post link instead of guessing the URL.
- Check site status and the Blog route.
- Confirm the content has one meaningful Heading 1.
Publication gate: an independent reviewer must repeat creation, publication, desktop and narrow checks, and unpublication. The current development runtime also needs a clean console replay.
