Outcome

Use Search anything to open an admin screen or known site record without opening each sidebar section.

Before you begin

  • Required role: Viewer, Admin, or Superadmin.
  • You must be signed in to the BlockNinja admin.
  • Save unfinished work before navigating away from the current screen.

Search does not grant extra access. Every result keeps its normal role, plan, and plugin requirements.

Find a destination

  1. In the admin header, select Search anything. You can also press Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux, or Command+K on macOS.
  2. Enter an exact label such as site settings, or a common synonym such as navbar for Menus. Search can find admin screens and site records such as pages, posts, menus, master pages, and Tables.
  3. Read the result title, description, and section before opening it.

  1. Select the intended result. With a keyboard, use Up Arrow or Down Arrow, then press Enter.
  2. To try another query, select Clear or press Escape once. With an empty query, press Escape again to close search.

Check the result

  • The command dialog closes after you open a result.
  • The destination heading and controls match the result you selected.
  • Browser Back returns to the screen you left.

Undo or recover

Searching does not change site content. Select Clear or press Escape to remove the query, then press Escape with an empty query to close the dialog.

If the wrong result opens, use browser Back and search again with the exact product label.

If it does not work

  • No results found — try a shorter exact label or a common synonym.
  • A destination is missing — confirm your signed-in role and whether the related plugin or feature is available.
  • The shortcut does not open search — select the header field labelled Search anything.
  • A record is hard to distinguish — check the result type and secondary path before opening it.
