Publish something useful in 30 minutes
Create a simple BlockNinja page with a heading and introduction, preview the draft safely, publish it, and verify the live result in one focused session.
Outcome
You will publish one useful page with a main heading and short introduction, then verify exactly what signed-out visitors see.
Access
You need an Admin or Superadmin role. No extra plan or plugin is required. This path uses a regular page, the active site's Default layout, a Heading block, and a Text block.
Before you begin
- Prepare a fictional page title, a unique URL segment, one public heading, and a short introduction.
- Choose a page that is safe to publish on the development or intended site.
- Set aside one signed-out desktop window and one narrow window for the final check.
- Do not use personal data, credentials, a real private domain, or an internal hostname in the example.
1. Create the page
- In the Content sidebar group, open Pages.
- Select Add Page.
- Enter the Title.
- Keep No parent (root level), or choose the intended Parent Page.
- Review the URL Segment and Full URL.
- Choose Regular Page and a Page Layout such as Default.
- Select Create Page. The new row shows Draft.

2. Add useful content
- Select Edit on the new page.
- In the Main slot, select Add Block and choose Heading.
- Enter a useful Block Title and Heading Text. A first page should normally have one level-1 heading.
- Select Add Block.
- Select Add block at the end and choose Text.
- Add a short introduction in Editor content.
- Wait for All changes saved.

3. Preview without publishing
- Return to Pages.
- Open the new page's row menu and select Preview Draft.
- Confirm the temporary share page shows the heading and introduction.
- Close the preview. The generated link expires after 24 hours.
The editor header's Preview link can open the ordinary public path and show Page Not Found before first publication. Use the Pages-row Preview Draft action for this check.
4. Publish the reviewed draft
- Return to the page editor.
- Confirm All changes saved.
- Select Publish. BlockNinja reports Page published immediately.
- Return to Pages and confirm the row says Live and its shortcut is named View live.

Check the result
- Open the ordinary public path in a signed-out 1440×900 window.
- Confirm there is one main heading and the intended introduction.
- Repeat at 390×844.
- Confirm text wraps, media stays within the viewport, and no admin or draft controls appear.
Undo or recover
- Before publication, leave the page as Draft; the ordinary public route remains unavailable.
- After publication, use Unpublish from the Pages-row menu. This retains the content as Draft.
- Edit mistakes, wait for All changes saved, preview again, then Publish.
- If unchanged content must go live again after Unpublish, use Publish from the Pages-row menu.
- Do not use Delete as a publishing reversal.
If it does not work
- If Create Page is absent, confirm your role is Admin or Superadmin.
- If the URL cannot be saved, choose a unique URL Segment and review the Full URL.
- If the draft shows Page Not Found, use the Pages-row Preview Draft action.
- If the live page still shows older content, confirm the row says Live and publish the reviewed draft again.
- If the page overflows at narrow width, correct the responsible block before republishing.
